This all-in-one two-step grommet die acts as not only a hole piercing die, but also a grommet setting die. As a result, the CSDIE-12PA is used to both cut a hole in your material and to attach ClipsShop #12 (40 mm) metal grommets. Equally important, the #12 grommets, which have a 1.5" (1-1/2"), (1 1/2) hole size inside diameter, are set faster and more accurately than with 2 separate dies!

Because of its unique features, this carefully engineered stainless steel grommet die will perform the job of 2 separate dies. You no longer need to cut the holes with 1 die, remove it from the machine, and then install the setting die. Consequently, the single die will pierce a hole in the material in the first step. Secondly, without changing dies or moving the substrate, it's then used to attach grommets.
This proprietary grommet die is a cost-saving tool since it replaces two separate dies. Also, the 2-step die should decrease the time it takes to set a grommet speeding up production. In addition, because the material remains in place for grommet attaching, the number of rejects and amount of waste should be reduced.

The CSDIE-PA family of #12 grommet setting dies, 40 mm grommet dies and 1 1/2" curtain eyelet dies can easily attach #12 grommet through a pre-cut pre-pierced hole and is capable of cutting its own hole prior to setting the grommet.
Compatible with ClipsShop CSTIDY-51, CS-TIDY-41, CSBUR-1, CSTON-1, CSTEP-2 and CSPIC-2 grommet attaching machines.
#12 Brass metal grommets are NOT self-piercing. But the 2-step die simplifies the process of attaching a curtain eyelet without changing dies and without moving the material.
